I have always been a bit of a nerd. A few years ago, I was leading teams at Google. My life was structured, my calendar full - but something inside me was restless.
Creating has always been part of my story. I grew up in southern Italy, surrounded by Luminarie festivals and design traditions that celebrated boldness and beauty. I studied piano at the Conservatory, and at some point made a name for myself in the music and event production scene.
Bouncing between being an artist and corporate life, I took on the hobby of designing costumes and headpieces/accessories for festivals and events. A few years later, I noticed something missing in the market: jewelry that brought back the houses/maisons of a time; good quality, good looking, durable and comfortable statement pieces; pieces designed with an architect eye to wear to impress or just casually to always look 'ready'.
So I started designing pieces for myself - earrings and rings that felt sculptural and intentional. People stopped me on the street and at restaurants to ask where I got them. I sold my first very small unplanned collection off my own hands before I ever had a website.
That was technically the moment AliMa was born.
Today, every AliMa piece is built with the same philosophy: design-first, comfort-always, made to last. I want you to feel the way I did that first day I wore something that truly expressed what I care about.
Thank you for being here - and for letting AliMa be part of your story too.
