Jewelry Care
Welcome to AliMa, where elegance blends with quality. Our 18k gold certified plated jewelry pieces are crafted to add a touch of luxury to your everyday style. To ensure your jewelry remains beautiful and lustrous, please follow these care instructions.
Notes:
- Due to the nature of the artistry in our jewelry, slight variations in gems and gem placement may occur.
- Due to natural variation of gems, no two stones or pieces of jewelry will look exactly the same. This is the beauty of wearing a unique art piece
TL:DR; Caring for your AliMa pieces:
Remove your jewelry during certain activities such as cleaning, swimming and exercising. Avoid letting your jewelry come into contact with harsh household chemicals like hairspray and chlorine, and make sure to store your jewelry in a safe dry place. For cleaning, clean your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth or gently scrub with a soft toothbrush.
Storing your Pieces:
Store your pieces individually in a dry place, preferably in separated soft pouches which can help to avoid scuffs and scratches. Consider using anti-tarnish strips or silica gel packs in your storage container to absorb excess moisture and prevent tarnishing. If the jewelry comes in contact with water, perfume, sweat, or any other form of moisture, be sure to wipe and dry the piece. Another great tip is to use a protection spray that will preserve the jewelry. By following these steps, the piece will not tarnish and look forever new.
Cleaning your Pieces:
Silver and Brass jewelry can scratch and lose its shine over time with wear and can be polished with a jewelry cloth. Please do not try to polish gold plated jewelry as it will remove the plating. Avoid Abrasive Materials: Never use harsh chemicals, jewelry cleaners, or abrasive materials like baking soda or toothpaste.
Gems/Stones & Pearls:
Please note that certain stones are more delicate than others. Opals, Onyx and Pearls need some extra attention to keep them in their best condition. Opals, for example, can easily crack or damage from extreme changes in temperature, and Pearls should be stored flat and separate from other objects that may scratch their surface. Similarly, Onyx also needs gentle handling: avoid dropping it or exposing it to hard impacts, which can cause scratches or chips.
A good wipe down of your stones after wear can help to avoid any buildup of oils or other substances. Do not expose your gems & pearls to alcohol and chemical based substances such as hand sanitizer and perfume. As with perfumes and hairspray, the alcohol in hand sanitizer can change the surface of your delicate stones. With exposure to these chemicals, the two noticeable differences being a loss of luster and a change in color.
* AliMa uses both freshwater and shell pearls. While you probably are aware of what freshwater pearls are, shell pearls are widely used (sometimes undisclosed) in the jewelry industry: these are natural and made from the inner lining of oyster shells, also known as Mother of Pearl. Shell pearls are incredible because of their availability in a wide range of sizes and shapes; they are also more durable and resistant to damage than natural pearls.
By following these care instructions, you can ensure that your 18k gold plated jewelry retains its beauty and elegance for years to come. Thank you for choosing [Your Brand Name], where timeless style meets exceptional quality.
